The City of Shelbyville is inviting residents, property owners, businesses and motorists to learn more about proposed improvements to Amos Road between State Road 44 and the CSX railroad bridge near Eberhart Drive.
The approximately $3.41 million project aims to improve traffic flow, reduce crashes and increase pedestrian safety through roadway widening, a center turn lane, new sidewalks and a multi-use path.
Attendees can review preliminary plans, learn about potential property impacts, ask questions and provide feedback before the project moves forward.
Construction is not expected to begin until 2029.
The meeting will be Tuesday, October 20, 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. It will be an open house session so visitors can come and go as needed.
It will be held at Shelbyville Central Schools administrative offices.
