The Presidential Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th and in Indiana, registered voters can vote in-person from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Today is the final day to register to vote and you can do that in the Clerk’s office of the courthouse until 4 p.m. You must bring a driver’s license or photo ID to register.
Indiana offers absentee ballots by mail to voters who have an acceptable reason not to vote in person and have applied to vote by mail. All other voters are expected to vote in person either on election day or during early voting.
Beginning on September 21st the Marshall County Clerk’s Office started sending out absentee ballots. As of Friday, October 4th, they have sent 724 absentee ballots out in the mail and 189 have already been returned. The last the County Clerk’s Office can receive applications to vote by mail is October 24th.
The first day to vote absentee in the Marshall County Clerk's Office in the courthouse is Tuesday, October 8th. They will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
October 17th is the first day for confined voters using the Travel Board to vote. You must contact the Clerk's Office to schedule a visit from the travel board.
