Plymouth Police ended up arresting two people for two different incidents on Friday morning, August 2nd, at the Family Express on West Jefferson Street.
City officers were dispatched to 1628 West Jefferson Street, at 5:15, for a man who said his car keys had been stolen. While officers were speaking with 38-year-old Wilmer Gutierrez Garcia of Plymouth they suspected he was intoxicated.
An investigation took place and Gutierrez Garcia was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more, and operator never licensed.
While Plymouth Police were investigating the stolen car keys at Family Express for an unrelated call they started a second investigation and found that 25-year-old Adolfo Castro Luna also of Plymouth was driving a vehicle, despite never obtaining a valid driver's license.
Castro Luna was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked in on a charge of operator never licensed.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
