Waldron High School 8-man football improved to 2-0 Saturday with a dominant 68-8 win over Rock Creek Academy.
The Mohawks scored touchdowns on eight of their first 16 plays and had a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Troy Atwood had six carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an 11-yard touchdown reception as well as the long kickoff return for a touchdown.
Lawson Denison had a 42-yard touchdown run. Tad Crosby carried the ball twice for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Hunter Dodson completed 6 of 7 passing attempts for 79 yards and three touchdowns.
Crosby had a team-high five catches for 47 yards and three touchdowns.
Defensively, Dodson led the way with eight tackles. Joey Shaw was credited with 6.5 tackles.
Waldron’s defense also had three fumble recoveries and four quarterback sacks.
The Mohawks travel to Dugger Union for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 6.
