The quest of an NJCAA basketball title in 2023-24 is at an end for the Vincennes University Trailblazers. The #4 ranked Blazers were knocked off by #13 seed Odessa College 58-56 in the second round of the tournament being held in Hutchinson, Kansas Tuesday afternoon. VU had tied the game with just over 40 seconds left on a three point play by Michael Osei-Bonsu but Odessa scored on a put back offensive dunk with 20 seconds left and the Blazers could not get a tying or winning score and lost by 2. The Trailblazers bow out at 30-4 and were led in scoring by freshman Damarien Yates with 22 points and sophomore Kent King added 12 but it was not enough.
