A trio of Shelby County baseball players were selected All-Conference following the conclusion of the Mid-Hoosier Conference season.
Waldron senior Jacob Bennett and junior Jordan Bennett are part of the 15-player All-MHC squad. Morristown senior Brady Bryant also was selected.
Conference champion Hauser had four players honored. They were Kameron Blair, Stryker Gill, Holden Pittman and Simeon Wasil. MHC runner-up South Decatur also had four selections – Corey Nugent, Devin Pate, Colby Rathburn and J.P. Scudder.
Also selected All-Conference were Edinburgh’s Gabe Bennett and Avynn Whitaker and North Decatur’s Nolan Burkhart and Xander Jones.
Eight more players were named Honorable Mention with four coming from Shelby County programs. They are Southwestern’s Ian Bunch and Isaac Bunch, Hauser’s Lukas Christian, North Decatur’s Tyler Dean and Kamden McKinney, Waldron’s Jackson Kuhn, Morristown’s Kade Rogers and South Decatur’s Grady Scudder.
Hauser head coach Nate Long was named MHC Coach of the Year.
The Jets won the conference title with a 12-0 record. South Decatur was second at 10-2 followed by Waldron (8-4), North Decatur (6-6), Edinburgh (4-8), Morristown (1-11) and Southwestern (1-11).
