Lillian Fillippinie had three extra-base hits and drove in four runs Wednesday to lead Triton Central to a 24-8 victory at Warren Central.
The visiting Tigers (1-1) scored eight runs in the first inning and five more in the second to establish a big lead.
Madi Peterson had a rough fourth inning in the pitcher’s circle, allowing all eight Warren Central runs. Fillippinie came on in relief to secure the final four outs of the game. Peterson allowed seven hits and four walks but struck out eight.
Jayda McKee and Jalynn Keith each had four hits for Triton Central.
Kira Smith and Gabi Hilliard each had two hits for Warren Central (0-2).
Triton Central travels to Tri-West (1-1) Saturday.
