Triton Central’s Kennedy Hall earned a second trip to an IHSAA regional golf tournament.
On Tuesday at The Links Golf Club in New Palestine, Hall carded a 99 to advance out of the New Palestine Sectional for the second year in a row.
The top three teams and the top three individuals not on an advancing team moved on from a sectional that was halted Monday due to inclement weather. The entire event was restarted Tuesday with the host Dragons winning the sectional title for the fourth year in a row with a 334.
Mt. Vernon (355) and Greenfield-Central (411) also advanced. Triton Central (458) finished seventh.
Mt. Vernon’s Ressie Lemmon, who had a hole in one on hole No. 8, was the sectional champion with a 3-under-par 69.
Hall’s 99 was the top score for the three advancing individuals. Also qualifying for the regional were Knightstown’s Savanah Tumilty (100) and Eastern Hancock’s Aubrey Whittington (103).
Also competing Tuesday for Triton Central were Jaylee Davis (114), Lyndsay Huxford (122), Emersynn Ailes (123) and Hanna Fink (131).
Hall will compete in the Lapel Regional Saturday at Edgewood Golf Course in Anderson.
Shelbyville’s Riley Everette, who advanced out of the Greensburg Sectional Saturday, will compete at the Franklin Regional this Saturday morning at The Legends Golf Club.

Boys soccer
Whiteland 4, Shelbyville 0
At Whiteland, the Warriors scored all four goals in the second half to secure the shutout victory.
Cameron Reid had the hat trick for Whiteland (6-6). Joseph Thawng had the other goal.
Shelbyville (5-7) hosts Greenfield-Central (2-8-1) Thursday.
Greenwood 6, Triton Central 0
At Triton Central, the Tigers (3-9-1) were shutout for the seventh time this season.
Greenwood (6-3-3) scored two goals in the first half then added four more over the final 40 minutes to secure the win.
The Hornets won the junior varsity game, 3-0. The Tigers dropped to 2-5-1.
Triton Central is at Beech Grove (2-9) Thursday.
Morristown 3, Hauser 3 (PKs 3-1)
At Hauser, the Yellow Jackets scored three goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation to tie the Jets and send the Mid-Hoosier Conference match to overtime.
After two scoreless overtime sessions, Morristown defeated Hauser 3-1 in penalty kicks.
Hauser dropped to 8-4 (1-2 MHC). Morristown secured its first conference win of the season and improved to 3-6-2 (1-3 MHC).
Girls soccer
Triton Central 4, Indian Creek 0
At Indian Creek, the Tigers scored a trio of first-half goals and then let its defense do the rest.
Goalkeeper Cheyenne Allen and her defensive front produced their ninth shutout of the season – and third straight. In 12 matches this season, opponents have scored just 14 goals.
Allen even scored a penalty kick goal at Indian Creek.
Also scoring were Maddie Burnett, Ariel Walker and Kaylynn Peterman.
Indian Creek fell to 4-9 this season.
Triton Central (8-2-2) hosts Indianapolis Lutheran (7-4) Thursday.
Boys tennis
Triton Central 5, Morristown 0
At Triton Central, the No. 2 doubles pairing of Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast needed three sets to defeat Ruston Kleine and Braxton Lenning, 6-0, 1-6, 7-6 (4) to complete the sweep of the Yellow Jackets.
At No. 1 singles, Max Crouse defeated Dalton McMichael, 6-4, 6-3. Caleb McGuire defeated Eli Graves at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0. And Talan Canter topped Gage Frey at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Triton Central’s No. 1 doubles pairing of Janssen Capps and Brayden Hoover bested Michael Ballinger and Mitchell Ronan, 6-0, 6-1.
Triton Central improved to 13-6. The Tigers are at Beech Grove Thursday.
Shelbyville 5, Rushville 0
At Rushville, the Golden Bears (15-5) won all five matches in straight sets.
Reece Prickett, Kashton Laycock and Bram Kolkmeier won singles matches.
At No. 1 doubles, Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong defeated Joel Downey and Max Reynolds, 6-1, 6-0.
Aiden Alton and Jack Van Wye secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Jakob Sloan and Josh Campbell.
Waldron 3, Batesville 2
At Batesville, the Mohawks swept the doubles matches and got a strong win from Charlie Fischer at No. 1 singles to secure the victory.
Fischer defeated Caleb Mohr, 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer produced a three-set win, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.
Noah Mitchell and Owen Hartman rallied from a first set loss to win at No. 2 doubles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Southwestern 3, Brown County 2
At Southwestern, the Spartans secured their first win of the season by sweeping the singles matches.
Southwestern’s wins came from Kyle Beck, Dave Coulston and Kentley Gosser.
Volleyball
Shelbyville def. Lawrence Central, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20
At Shelbyville on Senior Night, senior Alivia Lee led the Golden Bears (9-12) with 14 kills, three service aces and seven digs.
Jordyn Noe and Lyla Wilson each finished with six kills. Wilson had a pair of aces.
Senior Sydney Haehl delivered a team-high 17 digs. Hayden Ricketts and Addison Wooten each had 10 digs.
Addy Marshall racked up 34 assists.
Lawrence Central dropped to 9-12.
Shelbyville is at Franklin (17-2) Thursday.
Waldron def. South Decatur, 25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 26-24
At Waldron, Emerson Lindsey led the victorious Mohawks with six kills and 19 digs.
Lauren Strehle delivered five service aces and 16 assists. Jordyn Kropp had 13 digs.
South Decatur dropped to 7-7 overall and 2-2 against Mid-Hoosier Conference opponents.
Waldron improved to 5-12 (2-2 MHC) and host Tri (8-8) Thursday.
