Shelbyville scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat Connersville Tuesday, 2-0.
Alyna Castanon broke through for the Golden Bears early in the second half for a 1-0 lead.
Hali Chaney scored with 28 minutes to go to complete the scoring.
Connersville dropped to 4-5-2.
Shelbyville ended a two-match losing streak to improve to 7-5. The Golden Bears are at Greensburg (5-4) Thursday.

At The Legends Golf Club in Franklin, three Grizzly Cubs shot below 40 to secure a Senior Night victory.
Franklin’s Lexi Ray was the medalist with a 33. Addi Bight (37), Mia Hart (37) and Melanie Flora (41) rounded out the Franklin scorecard.
Sophia Asher led the Golden Bears with a 51. Riley Everette and Julie Garrison followed with 52s and Hana Stenger shot 58.
Boys soccer
Southwestern 2, Morristown 0
At Morristown, Ethan Sipes scored a pair of goals to lead Class A, No. 13 Southwestern to the Mid-Hoosier Conference win.
The Spartans improved to 8-2-1 (2-0 MHC).
Sipes scored in the first half off an assist from Landon Drake. He added his second goal with 16:23 left in the second half.
Chandler Holt was credited with three saves in the shutout victory.
The Spartans host Hauser (8-2, 1-0 MHC) Friday.
Triton Central 8, Monrovia 0
At Triton Central, Liam Thompson scored four goals to lead the Tigers to the Hoosier Legends Conference victory.
Evan Mitchell scored twice against the winless Bulldogs (0-10) and Dylan Hayden and Andrew Berry had goals to improve Triton Central to 3-8-1 (1-2 HLC).
The Tigers host Greenwood (5-3-2) on Sept. 23.
Mt. Vernon 3, Shelbyville 1
At Mt. Vernon, Brady Webber, Ethan Ludlow and Colin Cress each scored goals to keep the Marauders (9-2) atop the Hoosier Heritage Conference standings at 6-0.
The Golden Bears dropped to 4-6 (1-2 HHC) and host New Castle (3-8, 1-3 HHC) Thursday.

Triton Central 5, Edinburgh 0
At Triton Central, the host Tigers (10-5) lost just eight games while sweeping the Lancers.
At No. 1 singles, Janssen Capps defeated Bailey Totten, 6-1, 6-2. Bradyn Robinson secured a No. 2 singles victory, 6-0, 6-1 over Raiden Stanley. And Talan Canter topped Braden Cox at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 1 doubles, Max Crouse and Caleb McGuire blanked Jayson Music and Brinnyn Moss, 6-0, 6-0. And Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast defeated Jayden Castillo and Charlie Roberts at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-0.
Waldron 5, Hauser 0
At Hauser, the visiting Mohawks swept the Jets to earn the program its fifth-straight MHC championship.
At No. 1 singles, Charlie Fischer defeated James Oliver, 6-1, 6-0.
Cash Young was a straight-set winner at No. 2 singles over Joel Bechtel, 6-2, 6-4.
Lincoln Fischer did not lose a game in beating Graydon Kilps at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer fell behind 3-0 in the first set then rolled for a 6-3, 6-0 win over Kameron Blair and R.J. Foster.
Seniors Connor Ping and Noah Mitchell secured a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles over Jacob Bell and Brady Miller.
Volleyball
Greensburg def. Shelbyville, 25-5, 25-12, 25-9
At Greensburg, Lyla Wilson and Alivia Lee combined for nine kills to lead the Golden Bears (6-8).
Sydney Haehl finished with a team-high 16 digs. Hayden Ricketts and Addy Marshall each had 11 digs.
Greensburg won its 11th straight to improve to 14-1 this season.
Shelbyville is at Greenfield-Central (9-7) Thursday.
