If Plymouth wants an upper half Northern Lakes Conference finish this season the Pilgrims need a Saturday road win.
Provided, of course, that the weather forecast allows.
On the schedule Saturday, Plymouth (9-8, 2-2 NLC) travels to Concord (6-10, 1-4 NLC) for an afternoon conference tilt. Warsaw, at 5-0, is the only undefeated team in NLC play. Northridge is 3-1 with NorthWood and Wawasee next in the standings at 3-2.
Plymouth has Wawasee and Northridge still coming up on the schedule
The Lady Pilgrims have won three in a row and held their last two opponents, Mishawaka and LaPorte, to just 35 points each in wins by 21 and 26 points, respectively.
In the LaPorte win, Lena Wilson put together one of her best performances by posting a triple-double, 10 points, 11 assists, and 15 rebounds. Teammate Sophie Miller has upped her scoring rate. Miller leads the team with 10.5 ppg but has scored 15 points in each of her last two outings.
The same can be said for Rylee Mann who scores 7.1 ppg. She has 13 in each of the Pilgrims wins over Mishawaka and LaPorte.
Only four games remain after Saturday's road trip to Concord and two of those are NLC games - both on the road. Plymouth will play at Wawasee on January 20 and finish the regular season with a game at Northridge on January 25.
Saturday's game, weather permitting, can be heard on GIANT fm Sports WTCA with pregame approx 1:10 p.m.
