Plymouth volleyball placed fourth at tournament at Michigan City.
Plymouth (8-12 overall) was 2-1 in pool play. Mishawaka defeated the Pilgrims, 25-22, 25-23. Plymouth handled South Bend Washington, 25-9, 25-23, and then went the distance to beat Michigan City in three, 25-23, 22-25, 15-6.
That dropped Plymouth into a crossover match with Valparaiso. Valpo won that final match, 25-17, 25-9.
For Plymouth, it was a big day for Sophie Miller. Miller was 44-of-45 hitting on the day with 22 kills. She was also 23-of-26 serving with two aces.
Teammate Jersey Hunter was 31-of-39 hitting for the tournament with 16 kills. Hunter added 15 digs to go with 32-of-36 serving and six aces.
