To reach the IHSAA State Finals, wrestlers at four semistates around Indiana Saturday must win their first two matches.
That guarantees a top four finish and a trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the state championship meet Feb. 20-21.
Two Shelbyville wrestlers face that task Saturday at the New Castle Semistate.

At 126 pounds, Tripp Garner (37-4) (top of podium), ranked No. 22 in his weight class, opens against South Dearborn’s Jayden Coy (28-11). A win sets up a quarterfinal round showdown with either Noblesville’s Brody Weimer (34-4), ranked No. 16, or Hamilton Southeastern’s Cale Beattie (30-14).
There are eight state-ranked wrestlers in the bracket at New Castle. In addition to Weimer and Garner, they are No. 2 Blake Getz (34-1) of Indianapolis Roncalli, No. 6 Bradyn Volz (35-0) of Eastern Hancock, No. 8 Dallas Rosenbarger (35-0) of Rossville, No. 13 Jett McGuire (25-7) of Warren Central, No. 20 Bryce Glaze (31-2) of Southmont, and No. 26 Jackson Lavin (29-6) of Indianapolis Cathedral.

Shelbyville’s Brady Bryant (33-6) must navigate the 157-pound bracket that features nine state-ranked wrestlers. The unranked Bryant (photo) will face unranked Zander Schaefer (29-7) of South Dearborn in his first match.
The winner will face either No. 6 Jack Davis (33-2) of Indianapolis Bishop Chatard or unranked Ezekiel Kramer (22-18) of Fishers. Davis placed sixth at the 2025 state finals at 138 pounds.
Other ranked wrestlers in the bracket are No. 8 Jacob Weaver (39-0) of Rossville, No. 13 Tyler Lavin (30-11) of Cathedral, No. 15 Tyler Sandusky (36-4) of Franklin Central, No. 20 Erick Grady (29-6) of Lawrence North, No. 23 Zion Tavorn (14-4) of New Palestine, No. 24 William Rowland (30-7) of Alexandria Monroe, and Dylan Lane (25-4) of Hamilton Southeastern.
