Members of the Waldron High School 8-man football team have been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
The Mohawks claimed the IFCA 8-Man Football State Championship on Saturday with a 34-6 win over the Tri-County Crusaders.
The game was tied 6-6 at halftime before Waldron took command in the second half, scoring 28 points.
The Mohawks finished their season with an undefeated record (9-0) and won the first football state championship in WHS history.
