Jr. high track Lincoln takes split PLYMOUTH - The Lincoln boys Red Storm track squad split against Laville and Triton. The Lancers outdistanced the Red Storm 71-54 while the Red Storm beat Triton 54-22. Pacing the boys team was Ashton Artrip who won three events on the night (110m hurdles, 200m hurdles and 4x400m relay) while Nolan Bales (1600m and 800m runs), Dillon Davidson (400m run and 4x400m relay), and Easton Strain (Long Jump and 4x400m relay) earned two blue ribbons. Trevyon O'Leary, Trey Hall, Coby Walters, Benton Sayavonsing, Baley Binkley, Haedon Nowicki and Jacob Preece had performances that earned the team valuable points. Artrip's blazed his way with the top time in the state in the 200m hurdles in 28.1 seconds. Next up for the Red Storm squad are the Red Storm Relays on Saturday in Plymouth followed by a key quad-team meet on Monday against Edgewood, Wawasee at Lakeview (Warsaw).
