The Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians used strong offense and solid pitching in picking up a 12-0 5 inning win Thursday over Union Dugger (Ind) at Dugger.
They score 12 runs on 14 hits and made 2 errors while the hosts were blanked on 2 hits and also made 2 errors.
Senior Alyssa Griggs led the way with 3 hits and 3 RBI, Abby Taylor also had 2 hits and 2 RBI while Allison Evans, Annalise Green and Olivia Brush each added 2 hits.
Green went all 5 innings in the circle, allowing no runs on 2 hits with 11 strikeouts and only 1 walk.
The Lady Indians are now 6-13 on the season and will be back in action Saturday in the multi-team Robinson Invitational. They will open with Fairfield at 9 a.m. and play two more games.
