K1 Circuit expands its footprint with the acquisition of the nation's oldest go-kart track, Whiteland Raceway Park.
K1 Circuit, the premier outdoor karting operator, has announced its acquisition of Indiana's Whiteland Raceway Park.
This marks the company's second location, following the successful launch of K1 Circuit Winchester in Southern California last year.
K1 Circuit expands its footprint with the acquisition of the nation's oldest go-kart track, Whiteland Raceway Park. It was established in 1958, making it the nation's oldest continuously operating go-kart track.
"It's an honor to take over the reins of Whiteland Raceway Park," said David Danglard, CEO and Founder. "This venue is special, having been established in 1958, only two years after the invention of the go-kart. Our investment and expertise will help this historic track thrive, and we're excited to build on its legacy while supporting the growth of the karting community in the Midwest."
Open seven days a week, K1 Circuit Whiteland offers four types of karting experiences: open practice for kart owners, an "Arrive & Drive" rental kart experience for enthusiasts featuring an all-new fleet of high-performance go-karts, competitive karting leagues, and action-packed group events.
The facility also offers kart storage for owners, a VIP Suite, and soon, a brand-new Paddock Lounge, serving food and beverages.
Additionally, K1 Circuit Whiteland will host karting series throughout the year, including the Indy Karting Challenge, the Route 66 Sprint Series, and Cup Karts North America. In the future, the venue plans to host even more karting events.
K1 Circuit Whiteland is off Highway 31 at 654 N. Front Street, Whiteland. Open practice for kart owners is available Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while their rental kart program is available every day, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., excluding special race events.
