The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians picked up their fifth win in a row to improve to 22-3 on the season with a 77-46 win Tuesday night over the Red Hill Salukis in the annual Rotary Mid-Winter Classic in Bridgeport. The Tribe jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter and were never headed. They led 29-15 after one quarter, 42-30 at the half and 56-41 after three quarters enroute to the win. Three scored in double figures for the Indians-Bryant Jenkins 21, Landon Sanders 17 and Maddux Pargin added 15. The 10-16 Salukis suffered their second straight loss and were paced by Ozzy Ash with a game high 22 points. The Indian JV remained undefeated at 16-0 with a 59-15 win over the Salukis. Emery Ivers led the way with 13 points, Jayden Goff added 11 and Jacek Mickiewicz 10. The JV Salukis were led by Abram Clark with 10. The Indians will return home Friday to host Casey-Westfield in Little Illini Conference (LIC) play and will honor the 1974 Indian Class A state championship team. The Salukis will hit the road to Robinson Friday.
