Jim Ferris is now the full-time head basketball coach for the South Knox Spartans. The South Knox School Corporation Board of Education took the interim tag off Ferris and named him as head man. He spent last season as the interim coach in a season in which the Spartans were 11-14. He replaced David Burkett after his contract was terminated for an IHSAA rules violation which led to his suspension by that governing organization.
