The #3 ranked Lawrenceville basketball Indians celebrated Senior Night Tuesday with a convincing 55-20 win over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs in non-conference play at Lawrenceville.
The Tribe jumped out to a 14-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back. They increased the margin to 29-8 at the half and 50-14 after three quarters enroute to their fourth straight win and a 27-2 overall record. The 20 points were the lowest total allowed defensively all season. Senior Jayden Goff led the scoring with 11 points as 10 seniors and their parents were honored prior to the game. The Indians finished their home schedule unbeaten and will wrap up the conference and regular season Friday night at Paris.
The Indians swept the preliminary games. They beat C-W-C 54-42 in Frosh-Soph action led by Peyton Jones with 23 points and also won the JV contest 65-56 behind Blayton Gossett with 24 points, Avery Mullins added 13, and Isaac Vennard 11.
