The Parkview baseball Braves had their season come to an end Saturday in post-season play.
They were eliminated in the first semi-final of the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 2-A Regional 13 tournament at Casey by host Casey 6-5. The host Braves scored 6 runs on 5 hits and made 5 errors while the Braves scored their 5 runs on only 4 hits and committed 5 errors. Leo Seitzinger had an RBI hit for Parkview, which finishes the year at 11-5.
Casey now will play Marshall for the regional title Wednesday. Marshall edged Newton (Jasper County) 2-1 in the second semi-final Saturday to advance to the championship game.
