Rochester fell just short of a golf sectional championship and will have to settle for a berth in the regional.
Rochester and Logansport played to a 354 – 354 tie at the Logansport sectional at the Dykeman Park Golf Course Monday.
To break the tie, fifth player scorer Natalie Graham carded a 97 for Logansport to best the 122 of Rochester’s Audrey Widman and provide Logansport the team title.
Kankakee Valley with a 361 will be the third team to advance to the regional.
For Rochester, the top two overall spots were claimed by Olivia Baliey with a 72 and teammate’s Molly Moore with an 81.
Caston finished tenth in the twelve team field with a 521. The Comets top player was Ava Russell with a 123.
Rochester will play in the Lake Central regional Saturday at Sandy Pines.
