Warren (Jiggs) Dale Casper, 79, went to be with the Lord on April 10, surrounded by his loved ones at home. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Born in Plymouth, IN, on September 7, 1946, to Robert and Treva (Weaver) Casper, Warren graduated from LaPaz High School in 1964. He married Katherine (Wallace) on September 26, 1971, and they had two children. He was an active member of Argos United Methodist Church, a Vietnam veteran, and a retired lumberjack, having received the honor of being Lumberjack of the Year for the state of Indiana. He loved music, dancing, basketball, and a good joke.

He leaves behind his wife, Katherine; his children, Josh (Tara) of Plymouth, IN, and Meagan (Matt) of Matthews, NC; four grandchildren: Hailey, Jonas, Kenna, and Adelyn; and many other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father (Robert), his mother (Treva), his brother (Robert), and his sister (Marlene).

A special thanks to Traditions Health Hospice of Mishawaka and FirstLight Home Care of Valparaiso for their kindness and outstanding care, especially Sam McConnell.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Argos United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be made to Argos United Methodist Church and Rock Steady Boxing (Plymouth) of which he was a part.
