Shirley Maria Rowe, 88, of Plymouth

Plymouth – Shirley Maria Rowe, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth. The daughter of Michael and Ethel (Jewel) Miloserny, Shirley was born on August 28, 1937 in Plymouth.

Shirley grew up on a farm in Lakeville then moved with her family to a farm on Lawrence Lake in Plymouth in the late 40’s. Her love of animals came from her farm life/ She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956 and then married her life partner, Paul Rowe, on June 10, 1956. They moved to Lakeville near Riddles Lake and raised their children, Lisa and Scott.

During the 60’s-70’sm Shirley was a stay at home mom. She sold AVON and Tupperware and was involved in the PTA. Shirley and Paul were members of the United Methodist Church, the local Fire Department, and participated in several community and club activities. Their home was always busy with people coming and going.

In the mid-80’s, Shirley and Paul moved back to her childhood home to care for Shirley’s mom and lived there for another 40 years. Family was her #1 priority as were the various family animals and rescue animals through the years. Shirley was caring, loving, funny, and mischievous. She enjoyed horseback riding, boating, gardening, and crafting.

Shirley & Paul loved traveling and adventures. They also enjoyed hosting parties at their home on the lake. Their house was always filled with family and friends; laughing and enjoying each other and life.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Lisa Horning and grandson, Jay Paul Horning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Ethel; beloved husband, Paul; son, Scott; son-in-law, John; and half-brother, Robert Keyser.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 10AM-12PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Memorial services will immediately follow at 12PM with Fr. Jay Horning officiating.

Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery.

A luncheon will be held immediately following the graveside service at St. Isidore Hall, 803 W. Bike Street, Bremen, IN 46506.
