Shannon Marie Yazel, age 44, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at her residence in Live Oak, FL. Born on February 6, 1981, in Plymouth, IN, she was a woman whose vibrant spirit and boundless energy left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Shannon was a cherished partner to her loving boyfriend, Jeff Brzezinski, with whom she shared many beautiful moments and adventures. Their years spent together were filled with laughter, mutual support, and an unbreakable bond that stood as a testament to true companionship.
As a daughter, she was the treasured child of Brian Yazel and Wendy (Fred) Berkeypile, who instilled in her the values of love and family that she carried throughout her life. She is survived by her grandparents Robert Ray, Barbara (Kent) Farrer, and John (Donna) Berkeypile. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Ron and Linda Burkholder, and maternal grandmother Violet Ray.
Her role as a mother was Shannon's greatest joy. Dallas (Taylor) Bean, Jack Bean, and Kalem Brzezinski were the proud sons who bore witness to Shannon's unconditional love, strength, and remarkable wit. Her legacy lives on in each of them, as they carry forward the lessons and love she provided.
Shannon's siblings held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her devoted sister, Brandi (Jeremiah) Sullivan, her caring stepsister, Courtney (Dennis) White, and her attentive brothers, Taylor Yazel and Boston (Lola) Berkeypile. Together, they navigated the bittersweet journey of life, bound by a deep familial love that Shannon cherished dearly.
A proud graduate of the Plymouth High School class of 2000, Shannon built her life around the joyous fulfillment of being a dedicated homemaker. Her warmth and welcoming spirit made her home a sanctuary of comfort and happiness for all who entered.
Outside her home, Shannon was known for her hard work and dedication alongside her boyfriend, Jeff, installing tile. Their collaboration showcased not only their craft but also their exemplary teamwork and mutual respect.
Shannon's love for music festivals reflected her free-spirited nature and appreciation for the arts. Those who accompanied her to such events knew her as the life of the party, a woman of zest and vivacity whose laughter was like music itself.
An ardent lover of the natural world, she found solace in her garden, surrounded by the fruits of her labor and the beauty of nature. Her passion for vintage collectibles showed her appreciation for the stories and history behind each piece she carefully chose.
Early mornings would find Shannon on her front porch, a warm cup of coffee in hand, greeting the day with a sense of peace and pleasure. It was during these quiet moments that she often reflected on her greatest source of happiness: the time she spent with Jeff, her children, and her extended family, embracing every cherished moment with them.
Shannon's infectious orneriness and quick-witted humor were sources of joy and delight for those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the importance of embracing life's moments with open arms.
