Rodger Dale Riggins, 78, of Waldron, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on December 16, 1947, in Humboldt, TN to Emanual Riggins and Lessie (Huggins) Riggins.
Rodger graduated from Waldron High School. He worked at KCL in Shelbyville for a short time before going to work at Print Pack in Greensburg for over 30 years. Rodger had a love for the outdoors. Some of his favorite times were spent at his property, enjoying the scenery with his family. He enjoyed going fishing and being out in the woods hunting. He also had a love for music. He was talented at the guitar and listened to a variety of genres.
Rodger is survived by his sons, Dale Riggins, and Troy Riggins; his granddaughters, Lilly Riggins and Natalia Riggins; his brother, Bruce Riggins, and his cousin, Linda Day.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Gathering of Friends will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend James Thurman officiating.
