Neal R. Hostetler, 99, of Plymouth

Neal R. Hostetler, 99, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Miller’s Merry Manor of Walkerton, IN.

Neal was born to Irvin and Bessie (Krieg) Hostetler on June 13, 1926 in South Bend, IN. He graduated from LaPaz High School. He was in the United States Army for 28 years. He married Roberta Keiser on August 24, 1947 and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2022. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, LaPaz American Legion, the D.A.V. and the V.F.W. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, the outdoors, was fantastic in math, and cared for flowers.

Neal is survived by his daughters: Sue Ann (John) Palmitessa of Cannon Falls, MN; Selene (Scott) Leland of Culver, IN; his sons: Randy (Kathy) Hostetler of Plymouth, IN; Rodney W. Hostetler of Plymouth, IN; Jim (Linda) Hostetler of Plymouth, IN; Jeffery (Kathy) Hostetler of Plymouth, IN; Neal Roland (Sandra) Hostetler, Jr. of Webster, MN; his daughter-in-law, Mary Hostetler of Plymouth, IN; 15 grandchildren: Richard; Christa; Lynn; Adrian; Kari Lynn; Christopher; Jennifer; Robert; Benjamin; Bo; Melissa; Nicholas; Don; Hailey; and Terry; 28 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Neal is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta Hostetler; his son, Dennis Hostetler; his grandchildren: Jeremy Hostetler; David Palmitessa; and his sisters: Doris; Janice; and Roma.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church (425 S Michigan St, Plymouth, IN 46563).

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church (425 S Michigan St, Plymouth, IN 46563) with Pastor Kayla Grehl officiating.

The burial will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery (1300 Chester St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
