PLYMOUTH- Margaret E. Karwatka, 72, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne.
She was born on October 28, 1952, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Margaret was the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Ewalt) Karwatka. She graduated from Bremen High School with the class of 1970.
Margaret was a mail carrier for the Post Office for 15 years before retiring. Energetic, outgoing, and caring are just a few words that describe Margaret. Very sociable, and if you chose to be her friend, Margaret was just a phone call away for you.
Margaret was a fantastic mother, never missing an event that her daughter was involved in, from T-ball to swimming. Her spontaneous trips to the beach will always be a cherished memory.
Margaret was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Plymouth.
She is survived by her daughter Katherine (Branden) Suhr of Ft. Wayne; nephews: Aaron (Shelia)and Mason (Kristin) Jones as well as her nieces Cara (Ben) Rhodes and Rachel (Aaron) Jacobs.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Jones, and brother Edward Karwatka.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.
Burial will take place in the Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Marshall County Humane Society, P O Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563. The family would like for the donation to go to the adoption of Margaret’s cats.
