Henry G. Lewis, 88, of Argos

ARGOS-Henry G. Lewis, 88, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Born on March 9, 1936, in Burr Oak, Indiana, he was the son of John and Sylvia (Sutton) Lewis. He attended Culver High School, graduating with the class of 1954. Henry met Charlene Slane roller skating in Rochester, and they became soulmates. On December 3, 1955, they were married in Argos at Charlene’s Parents house.

Henry was a wonderful provider for his family, even occasionally working multiple jobs to make ends meet.  He worked for Acument Global Technologies for 42 years before retiring in 1998. A simple man that was well liked and easy to get along with truly described him, however he enjoyed getting a “razz” out of you if he could.

He enjoyed fishing especially at Eddy Lake, bowling, gardening, cutting firewood, mushroom hunting, and spending time with “his boys,” Noah and Brady.

He is survived by his wife Charlene of Argos; children: Lindy (Ron) Snyder of Plymouth; Randy (Dawn) Lewis, Cindy Hart and Jason (Stephanie) Lewis all of Argos; 11-grandchildren, 15-great-grandchildren and 4-great-great grandchildren.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, son Ricky Lewis, brothers: John, Edward, and Terry Lewis and his son-in-law Dave Hart.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 4-6 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences can be left for the family at www.johnson-danielson.com
