In addition to Teresa, Greg is survived by his father, Frank Willard of New Palestine; sons, Grant Willard and wife, Lacey, of Greenfield, Jason Willard and wife, Tami, of Fishers, and Jaret Willard and wife, Dawn, of New Palestine; daughter, Traci Verstegen and husband, Christoph, of Morristown; brother, Kevin Willard and wife Terri, of Knightstown; brothers-in-law, Rick Stout and wife, Diane, Jerry Stout and wife, Cherie, and Phil Stout and wife, Sara; sister-in-law, Leisa Morris and husband, Phil; grandchildren, Kylah, Jaxson, Presley, Bailey, Jayden and Mason; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Madonna Willard; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joe and Beverly (John) Stout; and nephew, Aaron Willard.

Greg was an excellent high school athlete who was on the record breaking half mile relay team for Morristown in 1972. He was also named to the first Indiana Allstar team for baseball I 1975. Upon graduation, Greg attended Ball State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Professionally Greg spent 36 years at Indianapolis Power & Light where he retired as a Director of Accounting in 2015.

Greg was entirely devoted to his church family. He served as an Elder at Morristown Christian Church for the last forty years, as well as being a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and helping in the community’s Wyldlife program. Greg loved helping others and he spent most of his summers on his mower helping take care of people who needed help with their lawns, or working on their homes, and any other way he could offer assistance. But Greg’s life passion remained his family. In his retirement years he served as full time Pappaw to his six grandkids, attending their sporting events, taking them to dinner, hosting sleepovers and pool parties. But, his greatest love of all was spending time with his wife of 49 years and love of 54, simply going to lunch and spending time together.
