WANATAH- Bradley R. Ebert, 67, was ushered into the arms of his Savior on May 8, 2026.
He was born on July 23, 1958, in San Diego, California, to Richard L. and Bonnie L. (McIntyre) Ebert. Brad graduated from South Central Junior-Senior High School with the Class of 1977.
Brad dedicated 41 years of service to NIPSCO before retiring in 2022. He and Denise were brought together through a thoughtful introduction by his mother, Bonnie, and his son, Brandon. On October 8, 2011, they were married at Jubilee Worship Center in Hobart, Indiana. Their marriage was a true testament to faith and devotion—best friends who stood by one another through life’s trials, tribulations, and triumphs. Their shared mission was to love each other forever, a promise they faithfully fulfilled.
Brad had a wonderful sense of humor and a natural gift for making others laugh. He was a talented cook and grill master, and he possessed a deeply intentional servant’s heart. Whether plowing neighbors’ driveways during snowstorms or helping with home repairs, Brad was always ready to lend a hand. His backyard pool became a cherished gathering place for family and friends during the summer months.
Many will fondly remember how Brad brought special moments to life through his creative video montages—treasured keepsakes that have been watched and loved time and again. His passion for audio and video extended into his role as an audio engineer at his church, where his attention to detail and perfectionism were always expressions of love and dedication.
Brad enjoyed playing competitive Phase 10 with family, as well as boating and fishing on his pontoon. He carried on cherished traditions passed down from his father, sharing them with his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren. He also loved spontaneous getaways to Monroe for fishing trips with his son & grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise of Wanatah; his children, Brandon (Shayna) Ebert and Ashley (Caleb) Walma; his grandchildren, Camden, Nolan, and Beckett Ebert, and Elijah and Madison Walma; and his sister, Diane Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on May 16, 2026 from 10-12 PM pm at Jubilee Worship Center, 415 North Hobart Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Funeral services will immediately follow with Dr. Dale P. Combs officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
