If your summer playlist leans toward smooth grooves and feel-good classics, mark your calendar. The REES Theatre will host Yacht Party — the Midwest's premier yacht rock tribute band — on Saturday, June 27, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show getting underway at 7:30 p.m.
Yacht Party has built a strong following across the region for its polished recreations of the iconic soft rock sound that defined the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band brings tight harmonies, exceptional musicianship, and an infectious stage presence to every performance, transporting audiences back to an era of radio hits and laid-back good times.
The setlist draws from some of the most beloved artists of the genre, including Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael McDonald, and more. Expect to hear crowd favorites like "Africa," "Rosanna," "Brandy," and "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" in a high-energy show designed to keep audiences on their feet all night.
The band's reputation extends well beyond the club circuit. Yacht Party has shared the stage with national touring acts and made a memorable splash — literally — when they performed a live set on a lake surrounded by hundreds of boats, a testament to the unique and immersive experience they bring to every venue.
Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite, at Na Rie Simple Treasures, or at The REES Everwise Box Office the night of the show. Seating is limited, and organizers encourage patrons to purchase tickets in advance.
