On Monday, August 25th, Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester announced that its computer network was accessed unlawfully in June. In response, they promptly took measures to verify the network's security and determine the cause of the incident. During the investigation, they discovered that files on their computer network were copied without permission between June 25 and June 30.
The files contained information used for managing Woodlawn Hospital’s facilities. This information includes details such as name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license or other state ID numbers, medical information related to healthcare, and health insurance data.
