It’s another busy weekend in Plymouth, with a variety of events taking place.

On Friday evening, the Marshall County Humane Society is hosting a "Bark in the Dark" Dog Walk in Centennial Park.  Registration begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Freyman Shelter, located near the tennis courts, and the walk starts at 8:00 p.m.  A $25 donation will get participants an event shirt and a glow collar.

The Maxinkuckee Odd Fellows are holding a Pancake & Sausage and Biscuits & Gravy breakfast on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the lodge located at 15033 18th Road between Argos and Culver. Adults are $15 and children are $8.  A bake sale will support the Marshall County Extension Homemakers.

The 7th Annual Chocolate Walk will take place in downtown Plymouth on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can purchase a $15 ticket and then visit 24 local businesses, receiving a chocolate treat at each stop. Purchase advance tickets at the Marshall County Museum, Simplee Stated Gifts, or online at www.eventbrite.com.  Only 150 tickets will be sold. If any tickets are available on Saturday morning, they will be at the museum, your first stop of the day.

The St. Michael Parish Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 4th, featuring a Chicken & Noodle Dinner and Bake Sale from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dinner is available for dine-in in the school cafeteria or for take-out, and everyone is welcome. For those 21 and older, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. in the school playground, there will be a Wine Pull, Beer & Wine Tent, Bake Sale, and live music by Rockology Chicago.

On Sunday, October 5th, Delta Theta Tau and Kayla Pittman are hosting the Down Syndrome Awareness Walk/Run. The event will take place near the sledding hill in the back of Centennial Park, with registration starting at 1 p.m. and the Fun Run beginning at 2:30 p.m., followed by the 5K at 3 p.m.  They will have food trucks, basket raffles, and a 50/50 drawing, so even if you aren’t walking, you can help support the cause.

Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 425 South Michigan Street in Plymouth, is hosting a Fall Block Party on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event is designed to bring together Plymouth residents for an evening of fun, food, fellowship, and fundraising for the 2025 Crop Walk.  Attendees can look forward to a range of family-friendly activities, including two bounce-houses, a dunk tank, yard games, pumpkin painting, a campfire, food, and conversation with friends and neighbors.
