A Warsaw man faces multiple charges, including driving without a license and possessing fraudulent government documents, after allegedly driving the wrong way on U.S. 30 early Saturday morning.
Marshall County Sheriff's deputies were alerted around 6:25 a.m. on February 15 to reports of a wrong-way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 30.
Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, working with Plymouth Police Department officers, located and stopped the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Beltran Jose Garcia Bolivar, 24, of Warsaw. During the traffic stop, officers discovered Bolivar had never obtained a driver's license. Additionally, investigators found Bolivar had a fraudulent government identification card.
Bolivar was arrested and faces three criminal charges: operator never licensed, possession of fraudulent government documents, and reckless driving. He was booked into custody, given a court date, and held on a $500 cash bond.
The incident involved cooperation between the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Plymouth Police Department, demonstrating the coordinated response local law enforcement agencies maintain for emergencies on major roadways.
