Federal authorities are working with local law enforcement with the Wabash Police Department investigating a bomb threat.
Wabash officers were dispatched to Walmart Tuesday in reference to a reported bomb threat inside the building. Responding officers and detectives, along with multiple assisting agencies, worked to safely evacuate the building and ensure public safety.
K9 teams from the Indiana State Police and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department were utilized to search for any explosive devices. No dangerous devices were located, and the scene was subsequently cleared.
This remains an active investigation. Wabash Police Detectives are being assisted by federal agencies.
