The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety Monday approved the low bid of E and B Paving for the 2025 city paving contract.
The bid of approximately $1. 2 million was the lowest of two received for the work.
Among the major projects will be the repaving of Main Street from First to Seventh Streets.
Also on Monday, the Vincennes City Council voted in support of a preliminary resolution for a 10 year tax abatement for the planned 240 unit Bierhaus Flats Subdivision.
The resolution also designates the area located along Bierhaus Boulevard across from Kohls near Hart Street as an economic recovery area as part of the abatement process.
A public hearing on the matter will be held by the city council for input before a final decision is made.
