For the first time ever, Visit Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne BMX are welcoming a national event to the dedicated track at Franke Park.
The 2026 Hoosier Nationals will take place at Fort Wayne BMX August 14 - 16, bringing 1,000 athletes and attendees from all over the country ranging from youth competitors to senior riders, over the three days of racing.
"Fort Wayne BMX and our riders are beyond ecstatic to host the 2026 Hoosier Nationals. We are ready to showcase Fort Wayne BMX, Franke Park, and the entire city of Fort Wayne to the rest of the BMX community and feel that they will be amazed with what they find when they arrive." - Barney Goodwin, Track Operator, Fort Wayne BMX.
This event has taken special collaboration between Visit Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation, and Fort Wayne BMX to make possible. From parking logistics to traffic flow and space needs, all parties worked toward a plan that sets the Hoosier Nationals event up for success.
“Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation is proud to support this national event. By working with organizers on logistics, we’re helping bring a first-class competition to our community while showcasing the great biking opportunities at Franke Park.” - Chuck Reddinger, Deputy Director of Recreation, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation.
Fort Wayne has a rich BMX history spanning nearly 50 years and has become a staple of our local sports community. It's great to hear praise about our local club from a top entity like USA BMX: "USA BMX is very excited about hosting a national series event in Fort Wayne. It's a great location with easy access to people all over the Midwest. The club that operates the BMX track is one of the top clubs in the country and they have definitely earned this event." Justin Travis, Director of Business Development, USA BMX.
Thanks to collaborative efforts by Fort Wayne BMX and Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation, and partnerships with Indiana Sports Corp and Visit Indiana for helping to make this opportunity possible.
A Welcome Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Wayne BMX in Franke Park at 1750 Goshen Rd. Media is welcome to attend for footage and interviews following the ceremony. Find more information and the schedule of events here.
