The U.S. Postal Service will observe Columbus Day on Monday, October 12th. All Post Office locations will be closed, with regular mail delivery and retail services resuming on Tuesday, October 13th.
While Post Offices are closed, customers can still access a variety of services online at usps.com, including ordering stamps and free USPS boxes, Hold Mail, Change of Address, PO Box rental or renewal, and Click-N-Ship to print pre-paid labels.
Self-service kiosks are also available in select lobbies nationwide, many of them accessible 24/7. The kiosks feature postage printing for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, and international shipping; stamps for purchase; the ability to weigh and mail packages; and package tracking information.
As USPS modernizes its retail locations, additional self-service options are becoming available at more locations, including Rapid Dropoff Stations for customers who have already created and printed labels online, the ability to print shipping labels from a merchant-provided QR code, and USPS Smart Lockers that allow customers to both drop off and pick up packages.
