A domestic disturbance call at a local motel on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of two individuals on multiple charges.
Officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the Economy Inn at 2525 North Michigan Street, room 115, on the afternoon of February 4th in response to a reported domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with Gwendolyn Andrea Quinn, 40, in her room. While inside, officers observed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain sight. During their investigation, Quinn allegedly provided false information to officers regarding the possible presence of a male party in the room.
Quinn was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with possession of paraphernalia and false informing.
Approximately 30 minutes after Plymouth officers left the scene, they received information that a male subject had returned to the area near the room.
Officers responded again and located Thomas Francis Quinn Jr., 45, inside the room. According to police, Thomas Quinn currently has a protection order in place against him and was not supposed to be in contact with Gwendolyn Quinn or inside her residence.
Thomas Quinn was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with invasion of privacy and resisting law enforcement.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. Those charged are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
