Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recently announced the promotion of Trooper Daniel Magnabosco to the rank of Trooper Detective.
Magnabosco’s responsibilities will include conducting criminal investigations and managing, investigating, and processing crime scenes. He will also be interviewing victims, witnesses, and informants. Detective Magnabosco will also be responsible for apprising affected commanders and other personnel of crime investigations and related activity.
A native of Indianapolis, IN, Detective Magnabosco is a 2012 graduate of Speedway High School. He attended Indiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology in 2016.
Detective Magnabosco was a member of the 2016 76th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was assigned to the Indianapolis Post upon graduation, where he worked as a road patrol trooper. Throughout his career, he has served the Indiana State Police as an Emergency Vehicle Operator and Tac Med Instructor. He has also served on the Marijuana Eradication and Mobile Field Force Team.
First Sergeant Brian Maudlin, commander of Criminal Investigations at the Putnamville Post, stated, “We are happy to have Detective Magnabosco become part of our investigative team here at the Putnamville Post. He will be an asset. Magnabosco’s primary county of assignment will be Clay County.”
Detective Magnabosco resides in Hendricks County with his wife and two children.
