The Town of Argos is inviting the community to come together this Friday, September 11, for its annual 9/11 Remembrance Walk and Ceremony, an event honoring the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the lasting impact of September 11.

The event will begin at Argos Community Schools, where participants will gather at 5:30 p.m. before walking together to Nickle Plate Square at 5:45 p.m. A remembrance ceremony will follow at 6:00 p.m.

The ceremony will feature the singing of the National Anthem, a reading of the timeline of events from September 11, 2001, and a presentation by guest speaker Dave Williams. The ceremony will conclude with attendees standing together in the shape of a peace sign.

This year, the Remembrance Walk & Ceremony will be held alongside TGIF Argos, allowing the community to remember, reflect, and come together. TGIF festivities will follow the ceremony.

Community members who are unable to join the walk are encouraged to meet directly at the Downtown Square. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs.

"We hope you'll join us as we pause to remember and honor those whose lives were forever changed," event organizers said. "We remember. We honor. We never forget.
