Operation Round Up awards local non-profits with grants to support the work they do in the community. On Tuesday, January 27, the Marshall County REMC Operation Round Up board awarded three grants to the following organizations:
Dustin’s Place received funding to assist with the cost of professional training and certifying a therapy dog to safely and appropriately participate in their biweekly evening grief support groups. Dustin’s Place provides free grief support to families experiencing loss through biweekly gatherings, in-school peer groups, and summer camp.
David’s Courage received funding to help create a safe, healthy, and positive space where men in recovery can build relationships, unwind, and strengthen sober habits. David’s Courage’s mission is to have a lasting change in the spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial health of those who are struggling with addiction.
Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michigan received funding to support numerous programs and activities for girls to participate in and build fundamental skills. The mission of the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michigan is to build girls' courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
