Authorities in Lawrence County made three arrests over the weekend.
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department (LCSD) Friday June 26th picked up a wanted Knox County (Indiana) man. 33-year-old Jeremy Penrod of Vincennes was being sought on an out-of-state warrant. He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there for transfer.
Bridgeport Police Friday June 26th arrested a wanted out-of-county man. 59-year-old James Piper of New Boston, Illinois was found to be the subject of an out-of-county warrant for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Methamphetamine Trafficking. He was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there on the warrant.
The LCSD Sunday June 28th arrested 48-year-old Robert Mason of rural Lawrenceville at Red Hill State Park west of Bridgeport. He was charged with two counts of False Impersonation of a Law Enforcement Officer. No other details were included in the arrest report. Mason was transported to the Lawrence County Jail and later released with a notice to appear in court.
