A suspicious man was arrested last Friday night, August 3rd by county police.
At approximately 11:15 PM a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy responded to the report of a suspicious person and vehicle in the area of Sycamore Road and State Road 17.
The deputy made contact with a male subject who was identified as 51-year-old Alexander Pranger of West 10B Road in Plymouth. Pranger had an active warrant through Starke County and during the investigation suspected drugs were located in the vehicle.
Alexander Pranger was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked for possession of a legend drug and the active warrant and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
