A driver in the turn lane who went straight when the light changed was stopped by a Plymouth police officer and subsequently arrested.
On Friday, Patrolman Thornton conducted a traffic stop on Michigan Street and Hoham Drive after noticing a vehicle driving straight through the turn lane.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Edward Charles Ernest Willett, 35, of Fort Wayne. Willett's driving status was found to be suspended, and while speaking with him, Thornton detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Patrolman Vinson and his K9 partner Castor made the scene and assisted. Officers located paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Edward Willett was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in at 6:30 p.m. for driving while suspended with a prior offense and possession of marijuana. His cash bond was posted just before 11 a.m. Saturday, and Willett was released on bond.
