Deputy Brown with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a single-vehicle crash on September 6th that resulted in the driver being airlifted from the scene.

At approximately 6:32 p.m. Saturday, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding a single-vehicle rollover on U.S. 31 at 19th Road. The driver stated he did not remember anything about the crash.

Witnesses told police the 2006 Jeep Liberty was traveling north on U.S. 31 at what appeared to be a high rate of speed and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto 19th Road and lost control, rolling the vehicle into the ditch.

40-year-old Mathew Stone told Deputy Brown he didn’t remember the crash. Stone was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Argos Fire Department and flown from the scene.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Argos Police, Argos Fire, Argos EMS, and Medflight.
