The city of St. Francisville has a new mayor.
T.J. Moyes was sworn in Wednesday night along with others elected in the April consolidated election-City Clerk Terri Lynn Wease, City Treasurer Jeff Tussey, Ward 2 Alderman Lee Campbell and Ward 3 Alderman Neal Baum. It is Moyes second stint as mayor.
Mark Boren, who had previously been mayor, returns to his seat as Ward 1 alderman and Travis Darnell was appointed as a Ward 3 alderman. The council did make some personnel moves. They approved the hiring of 2 part-time employees and approved a contract with Kerry Sanders to become the city water system operator. Sanders had previously worked for the city in that position.
The curbside city-wide cleanup is scheduled for Friday, May 16. Items that will and will not be picked up are posted at the bridge toll booth and also at the St. Francisville Bank.
