The city of St. Francisville has a new Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget.
The city council on May 13 officially passed the approximately $2.1 million spending plan unanimously. It represents a 3% increase in spending over the past fiscal year.
It was also reported that the water tower painting will get underway the week of June 22nd as part of the overall maintenance project. Work on the antiquated tower was approved earlier by the council.
The river bridge was inspected in early May by the firm C.D.I. and city officials are still awaiting a report on the results.
