The splash pad at Blue River Memorial Park and the Meridian Park Family Aquatic Center open for the 2025 season this week.
The splash pad (photo) opens Saturday at 9 a.m. and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There is no fee to enjoy the splash pad that features fountains and sprayers enjoyable for children of all ages.
The Meridian Park Family Aquatic Center, 101 McKinley Street in Shelbyville, opens Sunday at noon and is open daily throughout the summer from noon to 6 p.m.

Admission is $5 for anyone age 3 and older; admission is $3 for children age 2 and under.
The aquatic center features slides, a rock wall, and a kiddie island. Showers, lockers, private cabanas and concessions are available.
