South Bend Woman Arrested for Active Warrant

A South Bend woman was taken into custody for an active warrant.

Around 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 19th, the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Marshall County Probation Department for a subject.

Upon arriving at the Probation Department, Corporal McIntyre picked up Amanda Nethercutt, a 35 year old from South Bend. Cpl. McIntyre reports that Nethercutt had an active warrant in Marshall County for Probation Violation. Officer McIntyre also says that Nethercutt was taken into custody without any incidents, and he transported her to Marshall County Jail.

Nethercutt was officially booked into the County Jail at 9:38 in the morning, and was petitioned to have her probation revoked. Of course, Nethercutt was never given a bond, and is still in Marshall County Jail as she awaits arraignment.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
